Colour and Image Influences...

As I'm still working on the composition of my images I'm also getting myself a bit stuck when it comes to colour and style. However, I have been having a lot of influences from other artists:

Tom Scholes:

For the inner caves I really like the idea of presenting it with a blue colour palette.  The look I'd really love is much like Matt Gaser's landscape at the top, where the image contains a lot of suggestive lines that add to the detail of the scene.  The next step is adding these colours and influences to my potential images.
