The White Hare: Adventures at ToyCon...

ToyCon was amazing! It was so great to get to meet everyone I'd been speaking to online for so long and they were all super lovely. There was some great and not so great news on my Hare. She sold within the first 5 minutes (which is amazing), but the person that bought her then proceeded to break her legs and return her (not amazing). The wonderful Richard of UME toys supplied some emergency glue and she got to go back on display, but she may have a new home yet! :)

Here are all the pictures of her I have, I was a too excited and forgot to take photos on the day but you can just see her in the cabinet here.

Here's hoping I'll have a few more pieces there next year! ;P

The White Hare Revealed!..

"The most famous belief about white hares in Cornwall is that they are the spirits of girls who had been deserted by their lovers; as a result of which the girls died broken-hearted due to grief. Thus, with their spirit being unable to rest, they chose the form of a white hare in which to return and haunt their deserters. In this guise they are invisible to all except the one who jilted them, and they will haunt him until he finally dies."

She started out as one of these, I then added Super Sculpey, faux fur and painted glass cabochons. The eyes were a real labour of love, they feel like you're painting backwards!

I'll upload more pictures after the weekend when I know it's okay, but if you want to see the rest of the artists taking part (and you should :P) you can see them all here.

So excited for Saturday it's ridiculous! :D

'Rarity' CG Illustration...

A bit of CG work for fun, an illustration based on Rarity from My Little Pony 'cause she's so darn pretty.

The body, head and horn is 3D and her hair, eyes, noes and mouth, diamonds and horn spirals are all planes. I really enjoyed combining the two and it's definitely something I'll try out again soon.

Also, only 5 days until the White Hare is revealed! :D
